| About Us |
The motto “Making a Difference is Our Business” governs the essence of Heartpower’s mission.
Established in 1999, we comprise a group of young professionals who share a vision of making a positive impact for people and organisations.
Our programmes cover issues on work-life balance training, employee productivity, organisational communication, teacher career development (TESOL) and corporate training.
We also work closely with the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports (MCYS) to bring Work-life programmes into the corporate world and actively promote family life education via MCYS’ Family Life Ambassador (FLA) programme in companies. |

I am often described as a food lover and while that is a fitting description, my passion lies in realizing my hope of a compassionate world.
My wife Hanesa is my purpose and guide in whatever I do and I am grateful for her unwavering support as I continue to help make the world a better place in every way that I can.
My friends say I am a "foodie" and they are right. You can find me at Geylang markets, hunting for the best biriyani or my mum's kitchen in Perth.
If you have any questions for me, feel free to email me or keep your eye out on the Heartpower blog. I am responsiblle for Heartpower TESOL and would love to meet you.

I have been working for the past twenty years and a considerable part of this was spent in the area of project management, marketing and event organization.
I manage programs from conceptualization to planning and the execution of events, seminars and overseas assignments.
My expertise lies in bridging networks of parties to enable them to leverage on each others' proficiencies, capabilities, talent and resources to the mutual benefit of all parties. My work has often had an international perspective and I have journeyed to almost every continent on Earth. These experiences has indeed made my life richer in many aspects.
My hallmark is meeting people, learning about new cultures and networking.

| Our Trainers | | All trainers are chosen based on their attitude to life and dedication to the sharing of knowledge. Meet Andy and Helen, our two resident trainers! |
Well hello! I have been working in the TESOL business for many years having started teaching migrants in 1979 in London. My career path is living proof of where English language teaching can take you. I have lived and worked in England, Egypt, Canada, Peru, Cameroon, Hong Kong and Australia as a teacher, examiner and exam administrator, manager and teacher trainer. I couldn’t have got where I am now and where I have been without training! Join me to find your way to travelling the world, making it your oyster. |
| I graduated from university in the UK without a clue on what I wanted to do next with my life. A casual suggestion one day from a friend to try teaching English intrigued me as a way to see a bit of the world while meeting people from different backgrounds and learning about different cultures. I trained as a teacher and hopped on a plane to Singapore and I haven’t looked back since. What was originally a plan to spend a few months teaching and travelling has turned into a lifelong vocation and, yes, 13 years later I am still here! |
